A whimsical interpretation of the natural world found in Franklin the Turtle books, this garden on Toronto’s Centre Island was designed to foster an understanding and respect for the environment and to inspire creative thinking.
Visitors are given the opportunity to learn about the natural world through encounters that excite the senses. In the playful and interactive water feature, children can even be watered like plants! Wetland creatures are found at Turtle Pond, visitors can also experience a bird’s eye view with the telescope atop Snail Trail, and enjoy readings at Storybook Place.
