We have designed, implemented, and consulted on many green roof projects of varying sizes, utilizing a diverse range of green roof technologies.

Inspired by Mondrian, the green roof is designed to take advantage of the limited sunlight and be aesthetically pleasing from the tower above. The Studio successfully completed this multi-level planed concept to demonstrate different depths of growing medium.

Taller Himalayan birch trees were positioned near the edge of the slab for added support, to increase visibility from the street below. Selected foliage such as white barked-birch trees, daylily flowers, perennial red switch grass and evergreen shrubs were chosen to help heat the building in the winter and cool the building in the summer thus reducing the heat island effect.
