Coco Wang and Jingzhe Zhao Present on Computational Design at UofT

Last week, Coco Wang and Jingzhe Zhao, two JRS Junior Designers, presented to students at the University of Toronto John H. Daniels Faculty about the computational work they’ve been developing independently and in support of the Studio Research Lab (SRL) Toolkit.

Coco Wang spoke about her role in advancing parametric workflows for the SRL Toolkit using Rhino and Grasshopper. Jingzhe Zhao presented on exciting new methods for integrating machine learning into design thinking and landscape architecture.

The presentations were followed by a lively discussion about the role of computation as a medium to think, test, and design.

We’re proud of the work that Coco and Jingzhe are doing in advancing the role of computational design in professional practice!
