Custom metal screen designed by JRS installed in Leaf Garden Park, Toronto

JRS was tasked with designing an attractive, durable and cost-effective screen for an above-grade vent located in the south-east corner of a small downtown Toronto parkette known as Opera Place / Leaf Garden Park (south of Breadalbane St. between Bay St. and Yonge St.). Fabricated by Iron Bridge Fabrication Inc. the metal screen is perforated in a pattern inspired by the delicate veins of leaves, and functions like a unique piece of public art while also increasing the safety of this downtown neighbourhood park.

JRS worked closely with Councillor Wong-Tam, and the stakeholders to address the existing site issues. The project was facilitated by the Downtown Yonge BIA.
