Exciting news – Richmond Hill Council has approved the Dave Barrow Civic Square (DBCS) Park Plan!

The Dave Barrow Civic Square (DBCS) Park Plan has been approved!

JRS worked closely with the City of Richmond Hill’s project team, technical advisory committee, various focus groups, and the public to develop the Park Plan. Located at the Central Branch Library, the new DBCS serves as a vibrant civic heart for Richmond Hill and will feature an amphitheater, dynamic plazas, a seasonally adaptable lawn, and much more, all within an ecological and sustainability-forward landscape framework. A civic space designed for people to gather, celebrate, and explore, it will play host to public events, including concerts, performances, festivals, creative pop-ups, community gatherings, and recreational activities year-round.

The approved DBCS Park Plan can be accessed on the City of Richmond Hill’s Parks Projects website.
