JRS is thrilled to be a Gold Sponsor again this year for the 2024 1UP Toronto Conference! 1UP Toronto is a youth conference that brings together secondary school students across the Greater Toronto Area to celebrate and incubate city-building ideas.

Saturday, March 23 to Sunday, March 24, 2024

The 2024 conference theme is Thrive: Planning the Year-Round City, which represents a dialogue between youth and city builders about how indoor and outdoor public spaces might bring joy, well-being and happiness to everyone, all year round. Participants will explore how to design and plan for improving the collective well-being of residents, young and old.

The conference features inspirational talks by movers and shakers in the fields of urban planning and architecture, art and design, engineering and technology, and community development; 1UP Design-Build Pitches presented by secondary school students to showcase their in-progress design-build community projects; and a Design Jam where participants will work in teams to brainstorm, design, and prototype solutions for a design challenge.
