Jessica Hutcheon brings outstanding leadership, critical thinking, and a holistic approach to every project at JRS. She has achieved much success working on a wide range of scales, from public parks and urban plazas to large-scale city block developments. Known for her collaborative style and ability to bring together a wide diversity of professionals to achieve leading edge designs and impactful developments, Jessica’s expertise is focused on city building and placemaking as a means to improve the quality of life in our urban context.
As a principal in the studio, she uses her extensive experience in implementing projects in Toronto, across Canada and internationally, and is currently leading the landscape design of several major urban projects that place a pivotal focus on the public realm. Active in implementing sustainable green practices and technologies in all of the firm’s projects, Jessica is an accredited Green Roof professional who oversees green roof designs for JRS. She currently serves on the City of Toronto’s Design Review Panel and is a Professional Reviewer for the OALA’s Professional Development Program.
