Mississauga Garden

Location

Mississauga, Ontario

This client’s love of gardens is reflected in the extensive palette of plant material used throughout the site in lush, horticultural plantings that combine colour, texture and form.

The plantings were inspired by traditional Victorian gardens and plants were selected because of their ornamental characteristics as well as their ease of maintenance. The formal gardens were laid out on axial relationships to the house.  This allowed for preservation and protection of the existing woodlot while successfully integrating it with the rest of the landscape.  The overall design includes a formal circular garden at the front of the house, a sunken garden and formal alley at the side of the house, an informal pond and terraces at the back of the house and a woodland trail system at the back of the property.
