Located at Charles and Jarvis Streets in the heart of downtown Toronto’s core, X2 Condos is a 49-storey, contemporary high-rise featuring a double-height lobby and a modernist, Mies van der Rohe-inspired sleek dark glass exterior.

Sitting atop the building’s 8-story podium, Janet Rosenberg & Studio designed the rooftop terrace and garden, featuring bold, decorative-patterned stone tiling, an outdoor swimming pool, trees, large planters, a fire feature, and minimalist outdoor loungers/day beds.

Double Take by contemporary artist Shayne Dark was installed in front of the building’s Jarvis street-facing podium. An abstract interpretation of the barren trees and lake-smoothed driftwood commonly found in Canadian nature, the public art installation is comprised of deep blue poles positioned at various angles. Double Take complements and contrasts Dark’s other public sculpture – the red, vertically positioned Double Vision – located in front of X Condominiums immediately to the north.
