A grand terrace was added off the back of this beautiful family home, with striking, large trees emerging from the stone paving.

The stepped terrace transitions gracefully to a more natural landscape, with perimeter planting designed to provide privacy and feather gently to the surrounding ravine. The terrace offers opportunities for relaxation and entertainment with areas for dining, cooking, gardening and lounging.

A pavilion structure with a skylight and green roof stretches shoulder season enjoyment and includes a carved stone fireplace, built in radiant heating and a full entertainment system that retracts seamlessly into the ceiling. Anchoring the other end of the terrace, an existing greenhouse was renovated to expand its potential uses, providing space to garden, relax and entertain throughout the year in the light-filled space.

Gracious stone stairs step down to the lawn, flanked on either side by tranquil water features that cascade out from within the terrace and over large, natural stones. Flowing beds of perennials bring texture and colour which shifts through the changing seasons. In the front, a grand stone circle surrounded by planting provides a welcoming entrance to the home.
